Ethiopia - Region : Guji
Guji is located in the Oromia region of southern Ethiopia, nestled between Sidamo and Yirgacheffe. Once classified as part of Sidamo, it has since earned recognition as a distinctive specialty coffee origin due to its unique terroir and cup profile. Sitting at elevations between 1,800 and 2,300 meters, Guji benefits from mineral-rich volcanic soil and a cool, diverse microclimate that allows coffee cherries to mature slowly, developing concentrated sugars and complex aromatics.

Guji coffees are celebrated for their bright floral notes, clean acidity, and layered sweetness. Compared to Yirgacheffe, Guji tends to be more vibrant and expressive, often showcasing flavors of berries, tropical fruits, rose, and a refined oolong tea finish. The region’s coffees embody both elegance and wild vitality—an unmistakable expression of southern Ethiopia’s vibrant coffee heritage.
