This coffee comes from Hassan Ware’s farm in Megadu, Shakiso Woreda, Guji, Ethiopia. Grown at 2000–2200 MASL and planted with JARC 74112 and 74158, it is roasted to a light-medium House Omni profile and is suited to filter, pour-over and espresso.

Ripe cherries are hand-picked and delivered in the evening to Hassan’s private washing station. After a short rest, they are pulped the following morning and fermented under water in concrete tanks for 24–36 hours. The coffee is then washed clean and dried on raised beds. Scenery previously used Hassan’s coffee in its Megadu Community Blend; after tasting his single-farmer lot during a visit to Ethiopia in February 2026, it purchased his coffee as a separate lot for the first time this season.

A classic, clean washed Guji with orange blossom, black tea and lemongrass aromatics. The cup is notably sweet, combining lemon marmalade and pastry-like richness with peachy stone-fruit character and the impression of sweetened black tea. As it cools, the floral character and bright acidity become clearer, recalling elderflower cordial with lemon.
